Hello!  I joined the Cox Group at the University of Birmingham from 2002 until April 2006, working as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow.  I obtained by BSc in Chemistry at the University of East Anglia, during which time I spent one year at the University of Massachusetts, Amhurst.  After graduation I continued my studies at UEA, and under the supervision of Dr G. Richard Stephenson, I completed my PhD on Bimetallic Organoiron Dipoles as NLO Materials in 2001.  A one year post-doc at the Instituto Superior Tecnico, Portugal then followed.

The work I did at Birmingham concerns the synthesis of "masked" oligoynes for use in new unsaturated systems.
