Hi!  My name is Rui, I'm Portuguese, and I joined the Cox Group in September 2003 as a PhD student on a CASE award with Merck Sharp and Dohme.  I got my degree in Chemistry at the Faculdade De Ciencias Da Universidade De Lisboa, working with Dr Amelia Pilar Rauter.

My work involves the use of tethered propargylsilanes in stereoselective synthesis. I finished in the lab at the end of 2006 and am now in the process of writing up my thesis.
