Congratulations Matt (Again) Again!

Goodbye and Good luck!

It has come to that time of year once again where we must bid our masters students a fond farewell. They have been great additions to the group and we wish them all the best on results day. We are sure all that hard work will have paid off.

Goodbye Vanessa!

The Peacock group would like to bid a fond farewell to Vanessa, an Erasmus student that has been with us for six weeks. It has been a pleasure working with you and we thank you for all your hard work. Best of luck with the rest of your studies in France, keep in touch!

Welcome to Sinclair

We would like to warmly welcome Sinclair who has come over to the Peacock group from Galway for 6 weeks to work as part of our group. We hope you enjoy your time with us and makes all those lovely peptides.

Congratulations Louise!

Congratulations go to Louise for being awarded a scholarship to attend COST Combined Practical and Lecture Workshop: Chemistry of Metals in Biological Systems in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. She made the most of her time there and even won 2nd poster prize. Well done Louise!

Welcome to the masters students

The Peacock group would like to warmly welcome our new additions, Lucy Jennings, Isaac Cooke and Steven Ritson. They are joining the group to complete their masters degree undertaking research projects within the group. We hope you enjoy your time with us.

Christmas Meal 2014

Our annual Christmas meal took place this week. We opted for the less traditional Italian for the meal and of course we all donned our Christmas jumpers! Secret Santa made an outstanding effort this year. Thanks go to Sarah for the fantastic organisation. Merry Christmas all!

Xun’s Graduation

Congratulations go to Dr Xun Zhong for graduating from his PhD. The Peacock group would like to wish you the best of luck for the future and thank you for your hard work whilst in the group.

Congratulations Gemma

On the 15th December 2014 the Peacock group attended the 4th Annual Postgraduate Symposium on Nanotechnology at the University of Birmingham. Sarah and Louise presented posters and Gemma gave an oral presentation. Congratulations to Gemma for an excellent talk and for winning the Nature Chemistry Prize for best oral presentation. What a fantastic way to end 2014!!
